Your task is to find something you can do for someone else to pass on a little kindness. Since this is our first week, I am not putting any parameters on what you can or can’t do, except that you cannot do something that benefits yourself, like clean your room. I mean come on, some of your mom’s would probably faint if you cleaned your room, but it’s your room; that doesn’t count. So pay it forward for a friend, a family member, a teacher, etc. Write an encouraging note, make cookies for a neighbor, do something nice you don’t normally do. Have fun!!
Comments: Write a comment that includes what you did, who you did it for, and what that person’s reaction was. Write at least three sentences and use correct spelling (no text talk).
Reply: Reply to two other people. Read their comments and make a reply that gives them feedback. You can ask them a question, you can tell them how much you liked their idea, but you must write at least 3 sentences and you must use correct spelling (again no text talk.)

I made breakfast for my mom. I did it because she had a lot of stuff to do, and I was done getting ready for school. She was very pleased that I did that for her, and was happy.
That sounds like a really good idea. I know my mom would be pleased if I did that. Way to show some love!

Yesterday i helped my little brother with his homework. I helped him understand his math better and i read to him because he still had a lot of reading to do. He was happy that he finally got his math and he just said thank you.
That was was really nice Lauren. Im sure your brother appreciates it a lot.
That is really sweet. I’m sure he appreciated that.
aaaaaaaawwwwwwwww so sweet sisterly love. i wish i had a little brother but all i get is a stinker older sister! thats so nice awwwww. i wish i would something like that i am just not that nice hahahahah but you are!
Good job lala. you did good and I hope you keep this up. I know he can be a pest sometimes but just try to help whenever you can
I make some chocolate-chip cookies for my great grandmother who lives in an assisted living home in Shelbyville. I don’t get to see her a lot not that school has started. Unfortunatly, I wasn’t able to deliver them personaly, but I think she’ll be pretty happy when she gets them.
That was very sweet of you to do. It was very nice that you took the time to bake cookies for your grandmother who you never really see. It must have been trouble because you had a lot of homework as well as making cookies.
I cooked dinner for my mom because she had stuff to do at work. She thought i was very thoughtful for what i did.
Hopefully she will do something else for someone and PASS IT ON.
I meant PAY IT FORWARD.
Cole, I think what you dude was very nice. And you know i was just kidding about the pass it on thing right?
that was nice cole. i did that once.
That was really, really nice of you to do for your mom. I’m sure she really appreciated not having to do that when she got home.
i did two kind things last night, one was while i was at Mcdonalds with the volleyball team i got my coach’s drink for her, she was happy, she was kind of suprised that i helped her out a little when i could’ve just gone to the bus and start eating my food.
i also opened the door for a teammate of mine, though it wasnt a big deal at all she asked what i did that for so i told her she said “so does this mean i have to pay it forward?” I told her she could if she wanted to and she started thinking of what she could do.
Good Job Renee! You got this whole thing going. Maybe out little assignment could make this world a happier place. You gace that an extra step towards it happening. Woohoo.
-Emily Morgan
That sounds very nice. I wonder if they payed it forward yet.
That was very nice of youto do that for your coach. That really shows respect to your elders. And your peeers.
What I usually don’t do is to fold laundry. I might have spelled that wrong. Sorry. I helped my mom. She is really busy with her school work which is harder than you think. So she was doing homework and I just went and to her room and folded some laundry. She had a happy look and a little bit of relief. Now she can just work on her homework and maybe relax a little bit.
Bekkah- I know your mom, and i know how busy she is.
I think folding the laundry for her was very sweet, and
awesome (:
-Rachael
I know that something like that can really take a load off a stressed-out mom’s shoulders. My mom is similiar in that way. Good Job!!
What I did for pay it foward was yesterday when I was selling Pumpkins, a little elderly lady stopped by to buy some.
She bought a couple pumpkins, and the only way for her to get them home was her truck, so I loaded all of her pumpkins for her. She tried to pay me extra for helping her, but I don’t pay me back, pay it foward to somone else. She looked shocked and confused so I explained what paying it foward was. She smiled said thank you. She was very excited to pay it foward.
That sounds really awesome, Chase. Hopefully that lady will be able to PASS IT ON, too.
I mean pay if forward. my bad.
That was very nice Chase.
Chase- It’s cool that you got to tell her about all of this pay it forward stuff. I like what you did. Keep up the good work!
Yestday my dad worked overtime, so before he got home i heated his supper. Then, I made him a glass of iced tea. He was suprised that I did this because my mom usually does it when he works over.
That was really nice. Sometimes it’s the little things that make someone’s day.
I agree with Amy. And anyway, ice tea can make anything better.
Yesterday I called a friend and asked her if she need any help with schoolwork. She told me she had a test on the Periodic Table of the Elements so I helped her study for about an hour. I helped her create acronyms and things that would make the test easier for her. I could tell by the way that she spoke to me that she was kind of surprised because I don’t normally study with her.
that was really cool of you to do that. I bet she felt really loved when you called and asked if she needed any help. Great work!!!!
I donated a dollar to world hungar. Normally I would have polietly said “Not today” and turned down the offer. I immediatly thought about this and decided to do it. I will not see the families reaction, but I know it is gonna benefit someone probably more than I can imagine. A dollar is simple and isn’t much to us. We probably don’t even take the time to pick it up on the way down the street. But families in foreign countries on living on less than $2 a day so I’m happy to help someone receive a real meal and fight starvation.
-Emily Morgan
Emily, what you did was amazing and deep.
i think about how much a dollar bill means to us, but to them it means a meal and clothes.
saving a life one by one<3
-jenna leigh(:
Thats awesome Emily, and pretty deep stuff. Good thinking.
Emily I’m really glad you thought twice about that- imagine how happy that family will be to have some decent food on their table. It’s hard to believe how so little can mean so much to someone else.
i think u would do that at a normal everyday basses. but it was still nice.
This is truly amazing for you to do that. we really DON’T think about a dollar as being a lot, just a burger on the dollar menu. But to some people, one dollar is food, probably the only thing they’ll get that day. You rock!!!!!!!! Way to make the world a better place.
Marissa, did you mom have a surprised look on her face? Like “Wow!” why did you make breakfast for me?
Well yesterday i was at he latina market and there was a man who bought food without a drink only. I didnt know wether he didnt have any money or if he just wasnt thirsty, but i still decided to give him a free drink. When I did this he said “I dont want a drink man because i dont have any money”, then i explained to him what i was doing and he as like “Well i appreciate it man”, and i was like “No problem”.
That was very nice
thats very nice of you alex, reaching out to others in need, inn this specific a fin case, helping someone with a finacial problem. Great way to Pay It Forward
I think that was very thoughtful of you to do something like that.
alex- that was a cool thing to do, im glad you reached out and touched someone maybe that guy will do something for you one day. you never know.
That was a really nice to do especially for someone you don’t know.
I’m happy that instead of going on with your day, you actually thought about that man’s situation and bought him a drink- even though he was a complete stranger.
That is good. I think that was a very nice thing.
thats very nice of you alex
that is very nice of you alex to do that for that man
That is really cool that you did that. Hopefully that man will be able to pay it forward, also.
What I did for my “Pay it Forward” was writing a letter to my parents. They havnt received it yet cause i sent it yesterday, but I believe they will be pleased. I can see my mother getting emotional and hugging me then saying thank you a thousand times. My father, I can see him smiling and saying good job and patting me on the back.
thats a very nice thing austin. I did the same thing and it was almost like your dad was in the same place as me when i wrote mine….. weird huh?
Yeah, it’s almost like my husband was there too and told you to do it. Very weird.
That is really something thats appreciated by the people you love. I’m sure they loved getting that from you. That’s an awesome way to PAY IT FORWARD!
Two days ago, My mom and dad were out working late.
When they got home they asked us what we wanted to eat.
She then found out that I allready had made food for her, my dad, and my brother.
They were both supprised and happy that I cooked supper for them.
two days ago? i thought that this assignment was given yesterday not two days ago…
I guess we’ll let it slip this time
GOOD JOB NICK, VERY THOUGHTFULL.
thats very nice nick even though you dont know how to cook haha
Nick that was the nicest thing you can do for them when there working late.
That was really thoughtful of you. It takes some of the day’s load off of your parents shoulders. Good job!
Well, yesterday I was helping my dad in the backyard. I got to plant some flowers, and I got to make a bonfire pit. I usually don’t help him much, because most of the work that he does is too complicated for me. So I thought i could do the job and I did.
That was very nice of you Savannah. What was your dad’s reaction?
thats sweet savannah! i wouldn’t do that…… but only because i HATE planting flowers!
That’s really sweet of you, because some girls would hate to work in the backyard and get dirty, but you did it because you wanted to help your dad. Great Job!!!
i wrote a very nice letter to my parents, telling them how much they do for me, how much i love and care for them, and how appreciative i am of them. I know they will cherish the letter once they recive tonight, and my mom will probably even cry because she loves when i tell her how mch i love her.
~T-fresh
Aww. Trevor, if she likes to hear it from you so much you should do it more often. I bet she would really appreciate your kind words on a stressful day.
-Emily Morgan
I agree with Emily on this one, Trevor. Showing someone you love them on a stressful day can really, really brighten their day. Great work!!!
What i did for my “Pay it Forward”I wrote my parents a letter thanking them for suporting me during football, and when im not at football practice or games, puting aq roof over my head, and keeping food on the table. when they get the letter I could see my mom saying thanks and smileing realy big, and my dad smiling.
i think its good to thank them for the simple things they do, like putting a roof over our heads or having food.
I think that was a great thing to do for your parents
That was really nice that you did that for your parents. They will really appreciate that.
It’s great to let them know how much you appreciate their support. I’m sure they loved it. Great Job!
Thats kind of you to do that Alex very cool man.
Emma- I know your grandma enjoyed the cookies. Now she knows you think about her even if you cant be with her at the moment. it was sweet of you (:
Why didnt you make me cookies?haha im just playing….That was very nice thing for you to do.
i think it was really nice Alex. that man didn’t have that much money, and i bet he appriciated it. i think it was a good idea.
I’m not sure who wrote the above comment, but just to clarify it was not me. I believe it was Marissa.
For my “Pay it forward”, I did the dishes for my mom, and made her dinner. I did this because she had a really long day at work, and i felt bad.
Good Job!! I’m sure she appreciated that.
Yesterday i baked some cookies for my neighbor. It wasn’t anything big but she thank me.I did this for her because her husband just died and thought it would make her feel happy.
that was very sweet of you roxy.
That was nice i’m sure you made her day.
That was very sweet of you. Im sure she was surprised and thankful. That was a very good idea.
i helped move some family into their new house. they seemed happy that i helped them. i think they had this reaction because i could have decided to do something else but i was helping them. i also cu their neighbors grass and i think it needed it because it was very tall and eventhough they werent there i think they would have been happy that i took time out of my day to help them.
That was really nice of you to take your own time to help someone like that. Great way to PAY IT FORWARD.
nick- what 2 days ago it was sopose to be yesterday

brianna i think you did a good thing by writing a letter to jenna.
I left a note for Bri in her locker because she is going through tough times with family things i thought she could use a little comforting and encouragement. I have been praying for her ,and you should to! I dont know how she recated, but knowing Bri it was probably grateful. Thats just the way she is, we love you Bri!

Well, yesterday i was running cross-country and i noticed some people were having some trouble, (The new people.) After i had fan my four laps then I went over to cheer them on and to motivate them because thats what I thought I could do tobe nice for someone else. I felt good afterwards and I think they did too. They were exhausted but they still had an improved time, so they at least seemed happy.
Everyday after school I go to Mrs.Golden’s room, and everyday everyone thats in there has to put up a chair. But, most of the people in thier are to lazy to put them up. So, I started putting up all the chairs last week. I just thought that was pityful, to lazy to put up one chair. The techer in there was gateful for what I did.(sorry if pityful is spelled wrong, I just gussed.)

-Justin Mitchell #21

i wrote a note to a person that i thought needed somebody to car e about her. she is one of my best friends and i would do anything for her. it was a simple note, not long or complex, but it put a smile on her face, and made her day. she was so happy that someone cared fro her. her smile was ear to ear. it inspired me that just a little note could really make somebody feel good about themselvs. this homework assignment was very inspiring, and i wish we could have more assignments like it. girl u know who you are, but anyway everything i said in that note is 100% true! i hope u never change! your awesome just the way you are! remember all of us are children of God, and we live for him, not for other people on this crazy world!

I did my pay it forward to my mom. When she wasn’t in the kitchen I started cooking dinner. Then when she walked in she gave me the wildest facial expression I have ever seen in my life. She was so excited that i did that because all she had to do now is go sit on the couch and watch TV. You know what I was doing, I was cooking dinner.
Yesterday I gave one of my cats to this lady and she gave it to her granddaughter. She thanked me and was very happy. She gave it to her granddaughter because her granddaughter had a cat just like that who ran away so I decided to give it to her. I also gave my other cat away to this lady down the street. Both ladies were very happy that I did that.

Awww that was very sweet. If I was the one getting the cat I would of thought you were crazy
Yesterday, we were out walking and we saw this girl with her bike that was broken. So my cousin and I decided to fix it for her. At first she thought we were crazy, like we were going to kidnappe her or something. Finally she realized we were only trying to help her. It was kinda funny!!:)
I wrote my friend Destiny a letter about how much she means to me and how great of a friend she is. I think she was really happy to get it. I also think she was surprised and i think she really liked it.
Thats so nice kayla, and love your avatar:)
Thanks
That was sweet!!!!
I wrote my grandmother a letter because she is going through alot with money problems. She hasn’t paid her bills in a while and she hasn’t had hot water in three months. She lives with her son and his daughter. She will be moving in to another home. When she moves I promised to help her move things around and make her feel comfortable. I will also help her decide on what money needs to go where for example put extra money in a jar where she can buy things she wants and another jar for things she needs and one to save for bills for the house.
thats nice
that is nice you should help her pay bills
aww how nice tes bri realy would like that letter you wrote because most of her family members are sick and some even near death
